The city of Layton is located between Islamorada and Marathon at MM 68 on the North-Eastern end of Long Key. As of the 2000 census, the Florida Keys smallest city had a total population of 186.
Things to DoDon't Blink!You may miss Layton if you are not paying attention as you cruise along the Overseas Highway. You may also miss the slower speed limit signs! Just to the Southwest of Layton is the Long Key State Park at Mile Marker 67.5 Oceanside.
