What the locals call “Islamorada Beach” is actually a wide sandbar jutting out into the ocean close to Holiday Isle and Whale Harbor. There’s only one way to get there – by boat. The Islamorada sandbar is located on both sides of the boating channel in Whale Harbor, also known as Whale Harbor Channel, and less than a mile off-shore. This makes it an easy trip for boats, jet skis, paddleboards, and kayaks.

Getting there is easy whether you are coming through the Whale Harbor Channel from the bayside or along the ocean side coast North or South. On most weekends you will see many boats lined up along the sandbar.
